About the trip
Cochin, or Kochi, is Kerala's busiest city and oldest trading port, with Chinese fishing nets, Portuguese and Dutch buildings and a Jewish quarter in Mattancherry. From Trivandrum people travel for business, the international airport or a couple of days of sightseeing. The route runs up the coast via Kollam and Alleppey, crossing rivers and backwater inlets.
