About the trip
Udaipur, the City of Lakes, is known for its white palaces, lake-front ghats and a gentler pace than other Rajasthan cities. People come for the City Palace, boat rides on Lake Pichola and day trips to Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur. From Jaipur the road is a long, well-built highway through Ajmer and Bhilwara, and many break the drive at the great fort of Chittorgarh.
