About the trip
Namakkal is a busy town built around a large rock hill with an old fort on top. It is best known for its tall standing Anjaneyar statue, which faces the Narasimha Swamy cave temple across the street. Devotees from Trichy come for darshan, and some carry on to the Kolli Hills. The road follows the Kaveri via Musiri and Mohanur.
