Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens to your information when you use this website. We have tried to keep it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

The short version

This website has no accounts, no logins and no database. We do not store your details on this site. When you send us a trip enquiry it travels either to our WhatsApp, to our email inbox, or to our website host's form service — and nowhere else.

What we collect, and when

• Only what you type. The trip planner asks for your name, phone number, optional email and your travel preferences. Nothing is collected until you press send.
• Nothing is saved as you browse. Your currency and country choice is stored in your own browser so the site remembers it next time. It never reaches us.
• No advertising or tracking cookies. We run no advertising pixels and no cross-site tracking.

Your approximate location

So that prices appear in your own currency, the site works out which country you are connecting from. To do this it asks a lookup service (ipwho.is, with get.geojs.io as a backup) which country your internet address belongs to. Your IP address is visible to that service in the process. We receive only a two-letter country code, and we do not learn your street address or precise location.

You can override the detected country at any time using the selector in the top-right corner of the site.

Others who may see data

• Google Firebase stores accounts and saved enquiries (Mumbai, India).
• Google if you choose to sign in, under their own privacy policy.
• Netlify hosts the website and, like any web host, records standard server logs.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your IP address is visible to Google when the fonts load.
• Pexels serves some of the photographs, with the same consequence.
• WhatsApp (Meta) if you choose to contact us that way, under their own terms.
• ipwho.is / get.geojs.io for the country lookup described above.

We do not sell, rent or share your enquiry details with anyone else. Where a trip requires it, we pass only the necessary details to the suppliers fulfilling your booking — hotels, airlines, rail operators, hospitals or transport partners.

If you create an account

Signing in with Google is optional — everything on this site works without it. If you do sign in, we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from Google, never your password. We store those, any phone number you choose to save, and the trip enquiries you send, so you can see them again on any device.

This is held in Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in Mumbai, India. Access is restricted so that each signed-in traveller can only ever read their own records. To delete your account and everything in it, email us and we will remove it within 30 days.

How long we keep enquiries

Enquiry messages stay in our WhatsApp and email records so we can serve you and honour past quotations. Ask us to delete your enquiry and we will.

Your rights

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another region with equivalent data protection law, those rights apply to you regardless of where we operate. Write to info@bakkiyatours.com and we will reply within 30 days.

Children

This site is intended for adults booking travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Details of children travelling with you are given to us by the adult making the booking.
