About the trip
Courtallam, near Tenkasi, is famous for its many waterfalls on the Western Ghats, whose water is believed to have healing properties. The main season is June to September, when the monsoon winds keep the falls full and the air cool. People from Madurai come to bathe at the falls, eat local food and visit the temples. The drive goes via Rajapalayam and Srivilliputhur.
