About the trip
Mysore is Karnataka's old royal city, famous for its lit-up palace, Chamundi Hills and the Dasara festival. The route via Sathyamangalam and Dhimbam is closed to traffic at night (about 6 pm–6 am), so plan a morning departure. The alternative via Ooty and Bandipur is longer but scenic.
