About the trip
Kodaikanal is a hill town in the Palani Hills, known for its star-shaped lake, pine forests and misty viewpoints. Families and couples head up from Coimbatore to get away from the plains heat, walk by the lake and enjoy the cool air. The drive runs through Pollachi and Palani on good roads before climbing a winding ghat section for the last stretch into town.
