About the trip
Neyyar Dam sits at the foot of the Western Ghats inside the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, with a calm reservoir, forested hills and a crocodile rehabilitation centre. It makes a cool, green change from the beach for guests at Poovar. The short drive heads inland via Neyyattinkara and Kattakada through rubber plantations and small villages.
