About the trip
Vellore is known across India for the CMC hospital, and many of our trips here are for patients and their families. The town also has a well-kept 16th-century granite fort with a temple, church and mosque inside, and the gold-covered Sripuram Mahalakshmi temple on the outskirts. The drive runs via Tindivanam and Arani or through Tiruvannamalai.

Go via Tindivanam, Vandavasi and Arani, or take the longer road through Tiruvannamalai. Sripuram looks best after dusk, so the return can start around 6 pm.
