About the trip
Nagapattinam is an old port town on the Coromandel coast and a place where three faiths meet within a short distance: the Nagore Dargah, the Velankanni basilica and the Soundararaja Perumal Temple. Pilgrims of all backgrounds travel here. The drive from Pondicherry goes south through Cuddalore, Chidambaram and Karaikal, mostly along the coast.
