About the trip
Mayapur, on the banks of the Ganga near Nabadwip, is the birthplace of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the world headquarters of ISKCON. Devotees and visitors come for the temple halls, kirtan, clean gardens and the huge Temple of the Vedic Planetarium. The drive runs north from Kolkata along NH 12 through Kalyani and Ranaghat to Krishnanagar, which is known for its clay dolls.
