About the trip
Badami was the capital of the early Chalukyas, and its red sandstone cliffs hold four cave temples carved in the 6th century. With Aihole and Pattadakal close by, it is one of the richest temple circuits in Karnataka. From Hubballi the drive goes through Navalgund and Ron, and it is easy to see all three sites and return the same evening.
