About the trip
Agra is home to the Taj Mahal, along with Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, all built by the Mughals. It is the classic day trip from Delhi, made easy by the Yamuna Expressway. Travellers go to see the Taj at sunrise or in soft afternoon light, then add Fatehpur Sikri if they have time. The Taj is closed on Fridays.

Take the Yamuna Expressway from Greater Noida, a smooth toll road with food courts along it. Leave Delhi by 5 am to see the Taj before the crowds; skip Fridays.
