About the trip
Cherai Beach lies on Vypin Island just north of Cochin, a long sandy stretch where the sea is on one side and quiet backwaters are on the other. It is popular for swimming, sunset walks and occasional dolphin sightings. Nearby Pallipuram Fort and the old Kottappuram market add some history. The drive crosses the Goshree bridges and runs up the island road.
