About the trip
Kannur is a coastal town in north Kerala known for Theyyam ritual dance, handlooms, beaches and the Portuguese-built St Angelo Fort. Muzhappilangad beach, where cars can drive along the sand, is a favourite outing. The drive follows NH 66 north through Vadakara and Thalassery, a town known for its biryani and old cricket ground, making for an easy day trip.
