About the trip
Lepakshi is a small village just across the Andhra border known for its sixteenth-century Veerabhadra temple, a showcase of Vijayanagara art. Visitors come for the famous hanging pillar, the painted ceiling murals and one of the largest monolithic Nandi statues in India. The drive up NH 44 past the airport is quick and smooth, making this an easy half-day or full-day outing.
